Should I place the unit on the stovetop?
Do not place your appliance on a cooktop, even if the cooktop is cool because you could accidentally turn the cooktop on, causing a fire, and damaging the appliance, your cooktop, and your home.

Countertop Advice
Before using your new appliance on any countertop surface, check with your countertop manufacturer or installer for recommendations about using appliances on your surfaces. Some manufacturers and installers may recommend protecting your surface by placing a hot pad or trivet under the appliance for heat protection. Your manufacturer or installer may recommend that hot pans, pots, or electrical appliances should not be used directly on top of the countertop. If you are unsure, place a trivet or hot pad under the appliance before using it.

Do I need to take any steps between steaming and air frying food, like removing the water?
Yes, we recommend removing the liquid from below the fry tray. During the steaming process water from steaming and drips can accumulate under the fry tray. Removing the liquid from below the fry tray will decrease the moisture inside the unit and make it easier to achieve a crispy product.

How do I remove water from the unit and/or water tank?
After removing, washing, and rinsing the water tank, excess water can be removed by rolling a paper towel up and inserting it into the tank opening. Allow the paper towel to stick out of the opening and allow the tank to dry for a day. The paper towel should absorb any excess water.

After the unit has cooled, remove excess water from the drip tray and from the condensation collector. To remove water from the unit, you can use a turkey baster, or you can carefully tip the unit over and dump out the water. A paper towel can be inserted into the opening to absorb any additional liquid remaining.

Why will the unit not turn on?
You must press the Start button to begin the cooking cycle. After you have entered the time, temperature, and/or cooking preset, you must press Start.

Why is the control panel not working?
The fry basket must be inserted into the unit to activate the control panel.

Can the basket be removed during the steam cooking cycle?
We do not recommend opening the basket during the steam cycle. Opening the basket will allow the steam and heat to escape and will delay the cooking time.

The unit must be operated in an area with proper ventilation.
The unit produces steam and heat. Allow at least 5 inches of space around the unit. Take care not to operate the unit around cupboards, walls, or anything that may be susceptible to steam or heat damage. Make sure there is adequate space between the unit and solid surfaces (cabinets, walls, curtains). Steam will come out and water damage could occur.

Will the appliance work with 220 voltage or convertor?
“The appliance will not work with a 220-volt power supply and should not be used with a converter. Using with a converter could damage the appliance, the converter, and the outlet. Using a converter will invalidate the guarantee and any protection plan policy.”
