FAQs

Can espresso grind or finely ground coffee be used?
No, finely ground coffee  can plug the filter and cause the coffee not to brew correctly.

When using ground coffee, what button is used to brew?
The middle button/second button from the left.

How many times will whole beans be ground before brewing?
The appliance will grind beans 3x before brewing.

Can I mix ground and whole beans together?
We do not recommend this because: it defeats the purpose of having a fresh cup of coffee with ground beans & grinds can take up capacity in the carafe that the grinder needs to grind the whole beans.

Is the grinder blade needed when using ground coffee?
Yes, the grinder blade attachment should always be used as it helps the water flow evenly over the grounds.

The gasket for the carafe came out, how is it installed?
The gasket has a flat side and an angled side. The flat side should be flush against the top portion.

How much whole beans are needed?
You can customize the strength of your coffee by using 2 or 2.5 scoops of whole beans. You can use up to 5 tablespoons of ground coffee. The included scoop is equal to 2 tablespoon.

Is the brew cycle complete when the unit beeps?
The brew cycle is complete, wait 20 seconds to allow the unit to complete the drip cycle.

Will the appliance work with 220 voltage or convertor?
“The appliance will not work with 220 volt power supply and should not be used with a converter. Using with a converter could damage the appliance, the converter, and the outlet. Using a converter will invalidate the guarantee and any protection plan policy.”
